Carrie Ann serves as an elected director for the National Board of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) where she is the acting chair of the STEM Committee and YM Council and is currently the President for SAME Baltimore Post . She is an active member of the Center Club in Baltimore, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, AIA Baltimore, and the Urban Land Institute – Baltimore. A Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), Carrie Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a holds a Master of Business Administration degree. A publicity and branding strategist, Judith Turner-Yamamoto has publicized over 40 architects, designers, home furnishings businesses, arts, hospitality, beauty, fashion, and cultural nonprofits. In a career shaped by immersion in the creative fields, she has worked in every aspect of the arts from alternative spaces, galleries, magazines, and museums, serving as curator, administrator, acting director, development and projects director, contributing editor, art critic, and head of public affairs, where she developed contacts in the editorial, design, and arts communities. She was head of public affairs for the Smithsonian’s American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery and a project director for SITES, the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. She spent 15 years writing full-time on the arts, architecture, interiors, books, food, home products, fashion, travel, and design, securing over 1000 feature assignments in publications such as The Boston Globe Magazine, Elle, Interiors, City, Travel & Leisure, Colonial Homes, Home & Design, Neiman Marcus The Book, USAir Magazine, Hearst Special Publications, The Los Angeles Times, Classic American Homes, American Photo, and Southern Accents, and she continues to contribute to select publications. An award-winning fiction writer and poet, she graduated with high honors from Guilford College with Bachelor’s degrees in art history and Spanish and holds a Masters degree in art history from the American University.
